"Love Separated in Life…Love Reunited in Honor" Selected for the Italy International Film Festival

During planning of the 10th Anniversary of the Commemoration of the reburial of Fallen U.S. Vietnam War Hero, Sp5 Wyley Wright Jr. and his dearly loved wife, Ouida F. Wright, at Arlington National Cemetery in 2014 after 50 years of being buried in a segregated cemetery, The Italy International Film Festival chose "Love Separated in Life…Love Reunited in Honor" by Jackie Wright and Jack Livolsi as an official festival selection.

The 2024 Italy International Film Festival has officially selected "Love Separated in Life…Love Reunited in Honor" among its festival films.   Affirming that 'Italians love a good love story,' the news comes amid plans for the 10th Anniversary Commemoration of "Love Separated in Life…Love Reunited in Honor," the 2014 ceremony of the reburial of Sp5 Wyley Wright Jr., a Fallen U.S. Patriot and Honor Guard for then Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara in the early stages of the Vietnam War.  Sp5 Wyley Wright and "the love of his life," wife, Ouida Fay Wright were reburied at Arlington National Cemetery, their adult children.

"Love Separated in Life…Love Reunited in Honor," a short documentary was written, co-directed, and produced by Jackie Wright, Sp5 Wyley Wright Jr.'s oldest child, with co-director and editor, Jack LiVolsi of Jackson Street Partners in San Francisco.  Co-producers are Wright's siblings,  Stanley Wright; Phyllis Cameron; and the late minister and U.S. Army Veteran Joe N. Wright, who died February 23, 2022.

"Love Separated in Life…Love Reunited in Honor," a 15-minute documentary, is described on IMDb with themes of Love, Family, Black History, American History, Asian History, Women's History, Military History, World History, and Human History.  Those themes are also interwoven in the Tenth Anniversary of the Commemoration of "Love Separated by Life…Love Reunited with Honor, the reburial of Sp5 Wyley Wright Jr. and his greatly-loved, wife of eleven years, Ouida Wright.

The  film which will be screened March 9th and the commemoration are more than just a family recognition as the Wrights' story  gives a glimpse of the suffering of millions of U.S. families that have sacrificed for freedom over and over again in U.S. history.  To honor one is to respect all as in the case of John Francis Shea of Willimantic, Connecticut, who died March 9, 1964 in the helicopter crash with Sp5 Wyley Wright Jr., serving the United States of America in a foreign land so long ago.
